The S.O.S. Guitar Tuner is a completely new design from Planet Waves. Roughly the size of a guitar pick, it is used to pluck each string. After a string is plucked, two alternating LED light beams are projected onto the string. When the string is in tune, the LED light beams stop alternating.  Because it uses a visual Strobe-On-String tuning technology, the S.O.S. Guitar Tuner allows precision tuning in noisy or dark environments.

The S.O.S. Guitar Tuner is intended to be used only for 6-string guitars in standard tuning. Each tuner includes a battery and an instruction booklet.
