Choose the BOSS TU-2 Chromatic Tuner and hear your playing rise to the next level. The TU-2 is the same size as other BOSS compact effect pedals, making it a breeze to add to your rig. Use the MODE switch to cycle through all the available tuning modes including Chromatic, Guitar, Guitar Flat, Guitar Double Flat, Bass, Bass Flat and Bass Double Flat. When tuning in the Chromatic mode, the name of the note being played will be displayed on the indicator (A, A#, B, C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G or G#). In the Guitar and Bass modes, the string number closest to the input pitch will be displayed. The mute feature allows you to tune your guitar or bass without being heard, which is essential when tuning during live performances. Bright LEDs make it easy to read the meter display in all lighting conditions, including sunlight. Furthermore, the two types of meters on the display (CENT or STREAM) facilitate the tuning process.

Detailed specifications of the BOSS TU-2 are as follows:
  • Standard Pitch of 440 Hz, adjustable between 438 and 445 Hz in 1 Hz steps
  • Tuning Range of C0 (16.35 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz)
  • Tuning Accuracy of +/- 3 cents

Pressing the foot pedal on the tuner activates the on/off switch. The unit can be powered by a 9V battery (included) or an AC adaptor (not included). When using a battery, the BOSS TU-2 activates a battery conservation function after the power is turned off. The CHECK indicator will dim or fail to light when the battery is exhausted.

At only 2 7/8" Width x 5 1/8" Length x 2 3/8" Height in size, the tuner is small enough to be portable. However, with a weight of 15 ounces, the tuner is sturdy enough to withstand the rigors of the stage and studio. The tuner includes a 5-year limited warranty in the USA.
