Reissued in 2008, the Dean Markley 1972 Vintage Electric Light guitar strings are an exact recreation of the original Vintage Electric strings Dean Markley introduced in the early 1970s. The nickel-plated steel strings are slowly hand-wound over a round core. Because the string's wrap wire has full contact with the core wire, it is able to achieve maximum sustain and a classic Rock 'N' Roll sound that is warm and full. Not only do they sound great, but the Dean Markley 1972 Vintage Electric Light guitar strings last long for day after day of great tone. The Vintage Electric guitar string sets are made in the USA.

I have played these on both my Hagstrom and my Fender Strat. I LOVE THE SOUND of these strings. I have a Fender FM25 DSP Amp and these strings give a sound that makes you feel like you are "back in the day" with all the big boys. These are probably the only strings I will ever buy again. I just placed an order for 15 packs.
